How to request your medication

We require 5-working days notice for repeat prescriptions excluding Saturdays and Sundays. A 28-day supply is issued.

We have a computerised prescribing system, and your regular medication is printed on the slip given to you with your repeat medication. 

Sometimes you will be asked to see a doctor or nurse before any more repeat prescriptions are given. This is to ensure that the medication is still the right one for you. If you have difficulty collecting your medicines from the surgery we are able to leave your medication for collection at village pick up points in exceptional circumstances.

Paying for your medication and appliances

We can accept payments by card only.

Delivery

Need your medication delivered? Please support your local dispensary by using our in-house medication delivery service rather than an online pharmacy. Medication can be delivered to your local shop or your home.

We can dispense medications and appliances for patients living more than one mile (1.6km) from a pharmacy.

We cannot dispense medications for prescriptions issued elsewhere, except from a dentist or the hospital; you must also be a patient of Stanton Surgery.

Prescription Delivery Service

If you need your medication to be delivered, please support your local Stanton dispensary by utilising our free in-house medication delivery service, rather than an online pharmacy.

We are able to deliver to collection points at the post offices at Hopton, Barningham and Garboldisham, and to your home.

Ordering of medication for the upcoming bank holidays.

The dispensary will be closed on Friday 29th March and Monday 1st April. Please ensure you have enough medication to see you through the bank holidays. The dispensary will re-open on Tuesday 2nd April at 8am.

Due to the bank holiday on Friday 29th March, there will be no delivery on this day. If you usually get a delivery on a Friday, this will be delivered on Thursday 28th March for this week only. Normal deliveries will resume the week commencing Monday 1st April.

On 24th January 2017, Stanton Surgery went live with the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) which means our patients can be sent electronically to a nominated pharmacy.

Patients living more than 1.6km from a pharmacy continue to have access to the surgery dispensary and do not need to use a pharmacy.
