Prescription Delivery Service

We offer a prescription delivery service from the Stanton surgery for all registered patients. We are able to deliver to collection points at the post office in Hopton, Barningham and Garboldisham. If you would like more information regarding this service our Dispensary staff will be able to advise you - 01359 253701

Flu vaccinations

Flu vaccinations will be available from October 2018 - appointments will be available at reception from August.

This year, unfortunately, all surgeries and pharmacies will have their flu vaccinations delivered in three stages.  We aim to have our first flu session on Saturday 13th October with a follow up session at the beginning of November in line with our deliveries.  National guidance ensures that all patients will still be appropriately immunised before the main flu season is underway.

STATEMENT OF INTENT

Our Practice is committed to develop the delivery of better care to our patients utilising the Information Technology developed through and under the direction of NHS England. We currently use Summary Care Record, GP2GP Transfer and Patient Access Online for appointments, repeat medication requests and viewable summary care record. The Practice is committed to include detailed coded information as part of the Patient Access Online facility by 31st March 2016.

Zero Tolerance

Zero tolerance policy

The Practice fully supports the NHS Zero Tolerance Policy. The aim of this policy is to tackle the increasing problem of violence against staff working in the NHS and ensures that doctors and all other staff have a right to care for others without fear of being attacked or abused.

We understand that ill patients do not always act in a reasonable manner and will take this into consideration when trying to deal with a misunderstanding or complaint. We ask you to treat your doctors and all other staff courteously and act reasonably.

However, aggressive behaviour, be it violent or verbal abusive, will not be tolerated and may result in you being removed from The Practice list and, in extreme cases, the Police will be contacted if an incident is taking place and the patient is posing a threat to staff or other patients.

Removal from the practice list

A good patient-doctor relationship, based on mutual respect and trust, is the cornerstone of good patient care. The removal of patients from our list is an exceptional and rare event and is a last resort in an impaired patient-practice relationship. When trust has irretrievably broken down, it is in the patient’s interest, just as much as that of The Practice, that they should find a new practice. An exception to this is on immediate removal on the grounds of violence e.g. when the Police are involved.
